Which of the following, if any, sums up what you deep down most believe?
"Life is competition, survival of the fittest. A fight from cradle to grave."
"Money makes the world go around. Fools think otherwise."
"Life's short. Let's party!"
"We are here to serve God. To know and enjoy Him and His love forever."
"Life has only fleeting moments of happiness, moments I can little control."
"Life is about family. (And the continuation of my genes.)"
"Life is meaningless and random. We live in an indifferent universe."
"Life has meaning if I choose it to."
"The purpose of life, of my life, is to experience good, and to add more good for others and myself."
I have believed, for periods of time short or long, all of the above; sometimes, a couple within the same day. Life, your life, can have any of these meanings. Or others. It has meaning already, even if you've decided the meaning is that there is no meaning. The question is, what do you want your life to mean?
After investigation and experimentation, I choose the last two, and that's what I write about: finding/ making/ creating good in one's own life, and good for and with others.
