What is the meaning of Life is a big question, perhaps the big question of life. After not a few years of living it, not a few years of reading about it, in various forms, of having some experiences along my ways, I think this:
the meanings of life biologically is to continue the human species socially is to be an active member of social groups personally is to survive physically individually is to do what we think and feel best cosmically is to learn and change consciously is to manage, make, change as we can observationally is to pay attention mentally is to employ our brain power wisely philosophically is to consciously consider life emotionally is to feel deeply. happily. joyfully. often intellectually is to construct imagine build hopefully is to enjoy our lives, help others in theirs generously is to give, to aid others and ourselves psychologically is to feel strong, vital, alive religiously is to live by the precepts of your religion wisely is to choose a religion only if is good for you to fiscally is to spend societal money responsibly financially is to spend your own money usefully literarily is to participate in the great dance theoretically is to be the good that we can be practically is to thrive and grow ourselves others The meaning of life, I have come to believe, is to choose and make meanings. The purpose of life, or at least among the better of its purposes, is to enjoy and in-joy It. Obviously the list above is noncomprehensive. Any such list has to be. There are so many ways to consider life. Meanings to find in it. The meanings on this list are some of mine. It is my observation, it is my belief, that we accept, find, and create meanings all the time; and mostly unconsciously. In LukeyoutheU, in your life, I recommend finding choosing making more of your meanings consciously. Find. Choose. Make. Enjoy. In-Joy. Be. Both sets of three are parts of the same. Parts of the opportunity of life. Life about nearly always presents us with options. With choices. We get to choose, and already do unconsciously, how we think about our experiences; how we interpret the facts of our lives. Many of our choices may be endorsed and understood by others. Endorsed or not, understood or not, however, we choose. Just so you know, maybe you already do: for those who are conscious (ahem, you), not making a conscious choice/ choices is itself a choice. what is the meaning of my life? |
